I keep thinking about what happened in my town when I was still in high school...we had a family friend who was a cop, and he used to do volunteer things while off-duty, such as driving celebrities from the airport to town, things like that. He came by one morning and was talking to my Mom, and I overheard the conversation, which went something like this..."hey, I had to pick a guy up at the airport last night and drive him into town. What a strange guy! We was very tall, and had long snow-white hair and a whole lot of tattoos. I couldn't believe this guy was supposed to be someone famous! He sat in the back seat, and never said a word. He was pretty creepy...." I realized this cop had just picked up Johnny Winter and drove him to his hotel!

The first real concert I went to see was Johnny Winter and BB King in 1970.
