Replacement for Novus 2

Post by Andrew McSpadden »

I am running out of my big bottle of Novus 2 scratch remover. I use it for fine scratches and cleaning very dirty guitars. I am sure it is some Meguiars product. Does anyone know the equivalent? Thanks!

They still sell the Novus 2. I personally like Meguiars 105.

So far as I know Novus is not a Meguiars product.

Novus seems to have a softer abrasive than the Meguiars polishes I've tried. It's aimed at plastics such as Lexan, rather than the harder automotive finishes Meguiars is used for I have found the Meguiars polishes to be too aggressive for the varnish and shellac finishes that I use. You can get Novus polishes from MicroMark.
