Upgrading a cheap archtop kit with P-90s

Post by Barry Daniels »

My son and I recently re-equipped a previously assembled Stew-Mac archtop guitar kit with new hardware and electronics, going fairly high quality. We replaced the Chinese humbuckers with a pair of Mojotone '56 Quite Coil P-90s that sound amazing. The guitar has turned into my son's new favorite.

That was done with a bottle of blue die that I had acquired back in the 1980’s. I couldn’t believe that it was still good.
