String Instrument Repair: Practical and Political Issues
If you have a string instrument of any kind that needs fixing, a mistake you made in building a new instrument that you need to "disappear," or a question about the ethics of altering an older instrument, ask here. Please note that it will be much easier for us to help you decide on the best repair method if you post some pictures of the problem. - 548 Topics

Product & Component Reviews (test)
A place for informative reviews of components used in instrument construction.
If you want a specific category added, please PM me.
To make the reviews useful, please copy/paste the following template and try and address each item:
* Price/Purchased from: (Was it bought new or used. Did you buy it from a local or online retailer, auction site)
* Background info: (how long have you had the item, how often do you use it)
* Features: (basic description of the item - measurements, material it made from, is it adjustable, output for electronics etc.)
*Quality/Durability: (is it well built, will it last for the long haul)
*Sound Quality/description: (this section would probably only be needed for pickups. how does it sound, bright and clear, dark and muddy)
*Overall Opinion: (overall impressions, how many starts would you give it, would you recommend the item)
Arbitrary and malicious reviews will be deleted.
