Schematic for Marshall AS80R- created 12-23-2008

I have a sick Marshall Acoustic Soloist, AS80R. I've fixed amps without schematics before but it is a real pain. I emailed Marshall but no response. Can anyone recommend a good source for a schematic

BTW I've already checked Sam's and the usual online schematic sources. Lots of Marshalls but not this one. Anyone have any experience dealing with Marshall tech support, are they responsive or not

Apparently I'm doomed to wade through this one without a schematic. At least most of active elements are ICs with visible part numbers so I should be able to find the data sheets. If I do get a schematic then I'll send a copy to one of the online sites

Dude... give Marshall a Call or send an email. They are responsive.

Not a lot of Amp Repair Techs hanging out here, if you are wondering why responses are scarce.

Thanks Nathan, I haven't heard back from Marshall yet but I'll keep after it now that I know they will respond (unlike some manufacturers). I know there aren't many amp techs here but usually you can find someone around here who knows something about just about anything <g>

I've had to get schematics from about every major manufacturer of tube amps. The only one that has been a pain was St. Louis Music when I needed an Ampeg Schem. Marshall, Peavey, Mesa, Fender, Carvin, Laney, etc... have been really helpful even walking through checking test points with me over the phone

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression, it's good to hear that guitar amp manufacturers are generally helpful. I only repair one or two amps a year, usually for friends and most of them are easy fixes. I do spend a lot of time at work troubleshooting other electronic devices and the vast majority of manufacturers are very helpful as you describe. Only a very few are reluctant to provide tech data

Received the schematics from Marshall today. Nice, clean PDF files. They also gave a phone number if I needed anything else. Very nice
