Here is my latest build. It is a Nashville Telecaster which includes a strat pickup in the middle position. The body is one piece of swamp ash. Neck and fretboard are hard maple. Finish is butterscotch blond nitro lacquer. My client has large hands so the neck is 1.9" wide at the nut, similar to a classical guitar.

That looks so well done. I love the color.

Very nice! This one would have been a great candidate for the recent "What electric guitars have you built because you couldn't buy it?" thread.

The shot at the nut makes me chuckle - if I hadn't read about the neck width, I'd have assumed that picture's aspect ratio was wonky/stretched horizontally.

The nut end of the neck is so wide that there is almost no taper to the neck. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but then it was not too bad. Hope the client likes it.

Thanks Bryan! The color was one thing that I had to work hard for. For one thing, the color Butterscotch Blond is sort of a moving target. It is reportedly the color that the early Teles sort of aged into. They were originally a lighter shade. Also, the color is semi-transparent. You should be able to see the grain of the ash through the finish. So this was not a finish that could be achieved with Transtint dyes. I needed an opaque color and then needed to add just enough to get the semi-transparent effect. I stumbled on Mixol which comes in a variety of shades.
