If you're unfamiliar with W-T, this is a serious, heavy tank of a bandsaw. Beautiful to look at with their mid-20th-century art-deco industrial design. All cast-iron including the wheels, new tires, freshly re-plated components and new stainless fasteners throughout. All cast iron components were stripped via electrolysis and repainted with Rustoleum industrial enamel.
Resaw capacity should be good for anyone doing solid-bodies at 7", and max blade width is 7/8" so a good 3/4" resaw blade should be no problem.
He's asking $600 including a 3/4HP Baldor motor and a custom-made heavy-duty mobile base.
I want this saw - I REALLY WANT this saw. I've wanted it since he finished it and I saw it in his garage, but I have a European-style steel-frame saw now, and an old Powermatic restoration project in my garage, so I really can't justify picking up yet another band saw.
Obviously shipping is probably not practical, but if you're within a couple of hours of Detroit and could use a good band saw, you should seriously consider this one. Far better than anything you could buy new at anywhere near the price.
