Hi all
I am the new newbie.
I restarted building instruments almost two years ago, when i had to take over some unfinished projects from a sorely missed person. Though I have not been deeply involved to the last projects, we began this journey together almost 25 years ago...where we learned to sail round obstacles like being poorly equipped concerning hardware, knowledge and coins. So we found our own way making Guitars, Basses, offside the beaten tracks... which is not everyones taste. A very special thing she started off working on her last few years were headless tuner (I tend to call it linear tuner, cause sometimes it replaces a missing headstock like known from fado guitars)...which I tried to refine since I went to complete all the unfinished projects. And somewhere on the way I noticed that I really like it.
Now i feel, that its time to share what I came up with, cause it is easy, cheap and precisely working, unlimited relating to the numbers of Strings, open for compound stringspacings and mountabe on both sides...It aimes at aliens with lots of strings, multiscales, sympathetic strings...
greetings from germany

Re: old dog newbie
Welcome Sascha,
First off I'm sorry to hear of your loss and I can sympathize as memories come up when looking at unfinished projects with the intention of putting them out into the world. Appropriate/ simple technologies when it comes to hand crafted instruments are always welcome additions when so many new comers have great ideas but are stymied by limited access to resources, knowledge or financial.

I would like to welcome you also, Sascha.
I also extend condolences for your loss.
My wife and I (I am assuming you speak of your wife, or significant other) have been married for over 38 years, and I cannot imagine being without her.
I would really like to see the innovative tuner you speak of. Do you have any pictures that cam be posted?

I need your help. I can't possibly make all the mistakes myself!
