String gauge for L-00 from Grellier's plans

Post by Bob Howell »

I am about to string up the first I built from these plans. Said to lightly braced with 24.75 scale. What string gauges are appropriate?

All of my small bodied lightly built guitars get light gauge strings, 0.012 to 0.053 or 4 unless they are going to be tuned to something weird. That will be in the 155 to 160 pound of total tension with your 24-3/4 scale.

'bout time we saw some pictures, Bob

Struggling with neck angle. Keep blowing past it. Frets go on next week.
