Wood colour

Post by Jim Ashby »

Hi All
I'm the proud owner of an Avante AV2-E baritone that I bought second-hand. The previous owner had put stickers on the soundboard which I'd like to remove but...the colour of the wood underneath the stickers is significantly lighter than the rest of the wood. Is there anything I can do (short of stripping the finish and sanding back) to get an even colour overall?
Any and all suggestions gratefully received.

Over to you!

Set it in a sunny location for a few days, or weeks. The sun will turn the light color closer to the shade of the unprotected areas.
