Thanks for all of the tips everybody. I went and got 6 more strips of the curly maple , applied all the things as posted shaved the thickness down on my belt sander to around .080" and finished reducing with the scraper to .070" and they turned out really nice. Very pleased. Also I just re...

What type of paper did you use and what thickness did you shave your ribs to.
